  • Etnográfica:
Main island in Bluefields lagoon where the majority of the Rama population lives. Made of two islands joined over time by the Ramas by filling in the shallow water between with oyster shells at the instigation of one of the early foreign Moravian ministers who lived on the island. Previously they had to travel by dory between the two islands. Now there is a cement sidewalk between the two halves and that is where the baseball field is. The north island has the church; the south island has the grade school, the clinic and the main landing.
